Women-focussed sex stories app Dipsea partners with Full English Post
Dipsea, the sexual-wellness audio app, is partnering exclusively with Brooklyn-based studio Full English Post to sound design and mix its women-focussed, sexy audio stories.
Full English, has produced stories for Dipsea since the California-headquartered company launched in 2018, and will now provide bespoke sound design for each bite-sized episode as production ramps up from two to four new stories per week.
Dipsea was founded by Gina Gutierrez and Faye Keegan, who decided to create a platform offering short format sex stories after becoming frustrated at the dominance of male-focussed content and the poor quality of written and video options.
Dipsea stories are delivered as short-format audio, native to the Dipsea app, and are categorised to suit where and why women are listening, whether it’s solo in bed, enhancing intimacy with a partner, getting ready for a date, or turning off ‘boss brain’ on the way home from work.
Gutierrez, Dipsea CEO and co-founder said: “We chose to make Dipsea an audio platform because we believe it’s the most intimate, imaginative and immersive format, especially for women.
“Research shows that 90% of women use ‘mental framing’ to get turned on, and we want to help our subscribers tap into that incredible power. To do that, we need great content and rich, bespoke audio that transports listeners into our stories. Kieran and the team at Full English understand our need for quality and authenticity and their creativity and craftsmanship provides the finish that makes our stories best-in-class.”
Full English works closely with Dipsea’s in-house producers to carefully craft each story, engineering recording sessions, creating unique recorded sound effects and using audio-spatial techniques to turn each story into an immersive experience.
Each episode is rich with sense-tingling recorded effects - from the tantalising pour of a cocktail or the gentle patter of rain on a window, to neck-prickling ear whispers and intimate skin-on-skin moments - being both pre-planned and created ad hoc as each story develops.
Kieran Kaye, founder at Full English Post said: “We’re really excited to be partnering with Dipsea. These stories are miles away from the old cliches of cheesy music, painful dialogue and far-fetched scenarios and that offers us a really interesting creative challenge. With a pure audio product, we’re using sound to tell a story and paint a picture so it has to be authentic, believable and engaging.
“It’s also great to work with an innovative company that promotes positive, grown-up messages about health, sexuality and consent.”
Dipsea is a tech company and story studio behind the first audio platform for sexual wellness. Its first product is an iOS app for short, sexy audio stories. Within the app, subscribers get access to an ever-growing library of bite-sized audio content (with both narrative sexy stories and non-narrative guided pieces) to turn you on and help you learn and practice self care.
