Full English Post is Back at Tribeca Film Festival with "Proof of Concept”
Roll out the red carpet…again. We're absolutely over the moon to share some exciting news with you!
Your favorite audio post-production wizards at Full English Post are making a grand return to the Tribeca Film Festival this June. And the cherry on top? We're doing it with the brilliantly quirky short film, "Proof of Concept."
So, what's it about?
Picture this: An ambitious, slightly neurotic auteur (Ellie Sachs) on a mission to convince her dad (Richard Kind) and uncle (Will Janowitz) to finance her first film. The result? More raised eyebrows than dollars, and a whole lot of laughs.
When Director duo Ellie Sachs and Max Cohn came to us with the rough cut of the film, we immediately agreed to work on the project. The story was there but it needed a New York City soundscape as colorful and dynamic as the characters and meta plotline. And so, we rolled up our sleeves and got to work.
Full English has a history of collaborations with Ellie and her comedy shorts such as Pot Luck and Star or Pound. We had an absolute blast working with her and the team on this project to create a sound design that would do justice to the film's hilarity and heart. Each scene, as the characters visit various familiar NYC locations, needed its own unique soundscape to bring the viewer right into the heart of the city. Adding layers of real New York sounds as well as a combination of Foley and production sound created an immersive feel to the story.
The journey to Tribeca with "Proof of Concept" has been nothing short of a joyride. And now, seeing it lined up with some of the most creative and inspiring works at the festival is like the ultimate high-five for our team.
As we count down the days to the premiere of "Proof of Concept," we want to give a massive shout-out to everyone else who made this film possible. We're proud to have been part of this amazing project and can't wait for audiences to get a taste of it at the festival.
